Erg Chebbi dunes where there are many miles of beautiful Saharan Dunes. The Dunes stretch though they pale in comparison to some of the bigger dune seas in other parts of the Sahara, they are still very impressive. The best time to see the dunes is at sunrise or sunset as the colors change quickly though at any time in the day, it's an impressive sight. The Sahara desert trip includes high atlas mountains, Ait Ben Haddou, Ouarzazate, the valley of 1 thousand Kasbah, Skoura oasis, Dades Gorge, Todra Gorge, Risani, Draa Valley and Agdez.

Day 1: Marrakech -Telouet - Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - gorge de dades:

After picking up at your hotel we will go to the starting point located in the center of the city; later we took the road to Merzouga leaving Marrakech behind. The landscapes on the way to Merzouga are impressive and to reach our destination we will have to cross the High Atlas mountains through the Tizi n'Tichka pass. Our first stop will be in the Kasbah of Ait Ben Hadou, one of the sites recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Kasbah was also the place where several famous Hollywood movies were filmed, such as Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia and other films. We will have lunch in the Kasbah before continuing to Ouarzazate, known as the "Door of the desert." Then we continue through the valley of Roses city of Gorge de Dades where we will spend the first night in the hotel Gorges de Dades

Day 2: Todra gorges - Erfoud - Merzouga - Erg Chebbi dunes:

After having breakfast at the hotel, we head towards the dunes of Merzouga for an unforgettable walk in the desert. You return aboard your minibus along the famous road from the 1000 Kasbahs' to Tinghir. We pass through the oasis to the immense gorges of Todra. Then we will go to a local restaurant for lunch. In the afternoon we reach Rissani and then return to Merzouga again to enjoy the fascinating dunes of Erg Chebbi and admire the sunset in the desert and return to spend the night in the bivouac Atlas du Sable

Day 3: Merzouga - Rissani - Nqob - Tamnougalte - Ouarzazate - Marrakech:

On the third day, we will get up early to enjoy the sunrise in the dunes of Erg Chebbi and then return to breakfast at the bivouac. After breakfast, we will come back to the hotel to take a shower and leave for Ouarzazate. After lunch in Ouarzazate, we return to Marrakech through Tazarine and the Tichka pass

What to Remember ?

Please be sure to bring warm clothing in the winter (no sleeping bags are required), light clothing in the summer, sunscreen, a hat, good walking shoes, a flashlight, and trousers (for the camel trek). Shorts and skirts are not recommended for the trek as the saddles can cause skin irritation.
